Chase Ranch Montessori School is proud to offer scholarships for families that need additional help to allow
their children to attend our Montessori preschool and kindergarten programs.
WHAT IS IT WORTH?
Our scholarship program is worth up to $1000 per year. If you qualify for a $1000 scholarship, then the
scholarship is applied to your tuition on a monthly basis, at the rate of the scholarship divided by ten months
for that year. For a $1000 scholarship, this equates to a $100 reduction in your monthly tuition rate, for
example.
Any scholarship is non-transferable and nonrefundable. It must be applied only when you submit your tuition
payment each month. If you decide not to continue attending our school, the balance of the scholarship
disappears. If you pay for the entire year, then you can apply the entire amount.
Children who enter mid-year may receive a lesser (prorated) scholarship, if qualified. The scholarship cannot
be combined with the multiple-child discount, which is only applicable to non-scholarship families.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Once your family qualifies for the scholarship program, you receive a new scholarship each year for as long
as your children attend Chase Ranch, and it applies for all siblings. However, we reserve the right to ask you
to requalify at any future year, and to change our scholarship program from year to year as needed. Rest
assured, we don’t intend to make changes to any family’s tuition rates during any given year.
HOW DO I QUALIFY?
We base our scholarship program on an as-needed basis. If you do not need the help with your tuition, you
should not apply for the scholarship program. However, if you do need that additional help each month, you
should apply. We will review your application based on stated family income, history with the school, and on
a first-come, first-served basis. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, or other similar
factors.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS?
To be eligible for our program, each qualifying child must attend on a full-time schedule and must also attend
at least four weeks of summer session to continue your scholarship to the following year. Scholarships are
not available for students who are subsidized by other discount or payment programs.
WHY IS THIS NECESSARY?
As a small private Montessori school, we rely on a steady volume of students to provide sufficient revenue to
pay for all the expenses required. After a careful review of our tuition rates compared with the San Diego
market, it became clear that we should provide this scholarship program to help those families that need the
help, so they can attend the school, while adjusting our tuition rates to more closely match our expenses.
Running near capacity is important to allow us to hire the best possible teachers and provide the best
learning environment while maintaining safety for your children.
